Process

5 stages, executed on the airframe.

6–10 hours

  1. 01

    Inspection

Confirm leather type and condition — top-grain aviation leather varies between manufacturers.

  2. 02

    Clean

pH-neutral leather cleaner, agitated by hand. Lifts dirt and skin oils without stripping the topcoat.

  3. 03

    Spot work

Targeted attention on stains and marks. Water-based, oil-based, and pigment marks all need different chemistry.

  4. 04

    Conditioner

Premium conditioner hand-worked into the leather. Restores suppleness, prevents cracking, doesn't darken the finish.

  5. 05

    Protectant

Final UV and stain protection coat. Slows the next round of fading and absorption.
